KTC, Selected as an Outstanding Enterprise in the Social Division of ESG in the 8th Porter Prize for Excellence in CSV
Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) said that it was selected as an outstanding enterprise in the social division of ESG in the 8th ‘Porter Prize for Excellence in CSV’on December 1.
The Porter Prize for Excellence in CSV is awarded by Michael Porter in his name, a notable professor in business strategy at the Harvard Business School, to enterprises and institutions taking the lead on CSV(Creating Shared Value). Prize winners are chosen through professional review under strict criteria of the review committee, and finally, Porter’s assessment.
This year, the business strategy division of ESG is newly established, which becomes a cause celebre for capital market, and KTC is ranked as the first outstanding enterprise.
In July, KTC newly organized the ‘ESG Management Promotion Bureau’, which is exclusively responsible for ESG Management promotion, for the first time among domestic testing certification institutes. In October, it held a proclamation ceremony for pledging the action will of 18 strategies in the three pillars (Environment, Social, Governance) under the mission ‘A global testing certification institute taking the initiative in ESG Management’.
Specifically, KTC expanded operations into green testing certification fields, replenished eco-friendly smart work system, made a donation to the community, conducted the Blood Donation of Love Campaign, and constructed large-scaled infrastructure in major regions (Gokseong, Eumseong, Ochang, etc.), contributing to industry development and creation of employment. Besides, it held a rally to practice anticorruption and integrity and set up Youth Challenger (Junior Board), a bottom-up channel for communication.
