KTC Organizes Seminar to Boost In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Industry

Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) has reported the successful hosting of the "7th Seminar for Activating the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Industry" at El Tower on November 21st.

Tailored for professionals in the domestic in vitro diagnostic medical device industry, this seminar aimed to furnish specialized information and foster the enhancement of companies' capabilities for sustained competitiveness.

The seminar saw the active participation of over 100 professionals involved in the manufacturing and importation of in vitro diagnostic medical devices. Expert lectures covered a range of topics, including the latest technological trends and challenges in supporting the in vitro diagnostic medical device field, case studies on usability evaluations, methods for establishing medical device milestones, procedures for health insurance inclusion, cybersecurity for in vitro diagnostic medical devices, and evaluation procedures and cases for new medical technologies.

The global in vitro diagnostic medical device market is anticipated to grow from $85.9 billion in 2020, with an annual average growth rate of 6.7%, reaching a scale of $118.9 billion in 2025.

Recognized as the testing and certification institution for the in vitro diagnostic medical device category by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the first time in Korea, KTC offers comprehensive testing and certification services, encompassing examinations, inspections, and assessments of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for medical device manufacturing and quality management.

Sungil Ahn, President of KTC, expressed optimism about information-sharing among experts and companies and the exploration of collaboration opportunities through this seminar. He affirmed, "We are committed to continually contributing to the advancement of in vitro diagnostic medical device companies and industries through KTC's testing, certification services, and technical support."
