KTC to Host 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Convergence Innovation and International Certification Technology Support Seminar'

Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) has announced the hosting of a seminar titled 'Materials, Parts, and Equipment Convergence Innovation and International Certification Technology Support' on December 14th at Sheraton Seoul Gangnam, aimed at boosting the export activities of domestic manufacturing companies.

The seminar will include presentations on certification systems in major countries, such as Europe, the Middle East, Vietnam, and Saudi Arabia, with a focus on materials, parts, and equipment industries, as well as the electrical and electronic sectors. Additionally, representatives from overseas testing and certification agencies will provide detailed explanations of the certification systems in their respective countries. Presentations will cover the Japanese certification system (PSE) by JET and Halal certification by Markcert in Indonesia. The event will also involve discussions with invited companies to address issues related to overseas certification technology regulations. It is expected that this seminar will help alleviate the challenges faced by our companies in obtaining international certifications.

In recent times, companies seeking international certification have encountered challenges in formulating export strategies tailored to each country due to varying evaluation criteria in safety, metrology verification, electromagnetic compatibility, and efficiency management, imposed by trade and technical barriers. The difficulties have intensified as countries adopt new standards and testing and certification policies. The seminar aims to tackle these challenges and support the expansion of our companies' exports and global market presence.

As an internationally accredited testing and certification institution leading the digital and green transformation of industries, KTC supports the acquisition of all necessary international certifications for exports to major countries, including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, through its business cooperation network with 67 institutions in 36 countries. This contributes to enhancing national export competitiveness by reducing the time and costs involved in obtaining overseas certifications for our companies.

President Sungil Ahn of KTC stated, "Recently, as countries around the world strengthen trade and technical barriers, our companies are facing challenges entering international markets." He added, "To address this, we will gather and provide technology regulation information from various countries to companies and enhance our overseas testing and evaluation capabilities to support our companies in strengthening competitiveness in the global market."
