KTC, the World’s No. 1 Testing Certification Institute Leading the Way to the 4th Industrial Revolution
Korea Testing Certification institute (KTC) will participate in '2024 EV Trend Korea' from March 6 to 8 at COEX in Seoul to introduce electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure testing and certification services and to support the revitalization of the EV industry ecosystem.
'2024 EV Trend Korea' will be held at COEX Hall A, with 86 companies, organizations, and 445 booths to promote various EVs and EV charging infrastructure and present a blueprint for the mobility industry with future cutting-edge technologies.
KTC is the only organization in Korea that can test and certify all six fields of safety, EMC, energy efficiency, metering, communication, and durability for companies to sell EV chargers. Through its participation in the '2024 EV Trend Korea', KTC will introduce safety and performance testing of the largest capacity EV charger products in Korea, as well as communication protocol testing and certification services between "vehicle-electric vehicle charger" and "electric vehicle charger-operating server" for charger manufacturers, charging infrastructure installation and operation companies, and all service providers for charging. In addition, KTC CEO Choi Yoon-chang will present EV charging technology trends on the topic of "Domestic and International EV Charger Technology Trends and Testing and Certification" at a conference held in parallel to the event.
KTC is an internationally accredited testing and certification organization representing Korea, with core testing and evaluation capabilities in the fields of information and communication, electronic equipment, motors, batteries, and chargers in the electric vehicle value chain. In particular, in the field of electric vehicle chargers, KTC has been designated as the eighth OCPP* testing center in the world, supporting OCPP certification required by domestic and foreign customers to solve the backlog of testing and certification for domestic companies and support exports.
* OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol): An international open charging communication protocol and a requirement for domestic electric vehicle charger installation and operation projects.
KTC president Sungil Ahn said, "We will do our best to expand our core EV testing and certification capabilities and EV charging infrastructure evaluation services that combine future technologies to contribute to the expansion of EVs and the growth of companies related to the K-electric vehicle value chain."
