The Korea Testing Certification (KTC) will participate in the '39th International Medical Device & Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES2024)' to be held at COEX Exhibition Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul from March 14 to 17 for four days.
Under the theme of "Better Life, Better Future," KIMES 2024 will showcase the future of the convergent medical industry, with over 1,350 domestic and international manufacturers participating, presenting 35,000 products and technologies. KTC will participate in this event to provide consultations for enhancing domestic medical device technological competitiveness and promoting export activation.
As the first testing and certification institution providing total testing services in the domestic medical device field, KTC will open an independent booth at the exhibition and support manufacturing and export companies with △medical device approval procedures △consultations for overseas medical device certifications △various testing and certification services in the biotech health sector.
Furthermore, on the 14th, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., KTC plans to hold a seminar in Room 311 of the KIMES Seminar Room in collaboration with the China National Institute of Metrology Medical Device Test Centre (GRG TEST) on medical device testing and NMPA registration for Chinese medical devices. This seminar will provide the latest certification information for promoting the export of Korean medical devices to China and other overseas markets, as well as practical information on Chinese medical device regulations, testing and certification procedures, and clinical-related matters. Consultations on the challenges of entering the Chinese market for companies will also be conducted through a Q&A session.
Director Ahn Sung-il of KTC stated, "The medical device industry is rapidly changing and growing as it intersects with advanced IT and digital healthcare." He added, "We will not only enhance our support for testing and certification services to promote the development of the domestic medical device industry in response to the latest trends but also contribute to increasing medical device exports."
