The Korea Testing Certification (hereinafter referred to as KTC, Director Ahn Seong-il) announced on the 7th that it had achieved significant outcomes, including securing new business worth a total of 160 million won at the '39th International Medical Equipment and Hospital Equipment Exhibition (KIMES2024).'
KTC participated in 'KIMES2024', co-hosted by Korea E&EX, the Korea Medical Devices Association, and the Korea Medical Device Industry Association, from March 14th to 17th for a total of four days at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
At this exhibition, KTC operated an 'independent booth' to support the export of medical device companies and also conducted a seminar on 'Chinese Medical Device Testing and NMPA Registration' in collaboration with the Guangzhou Electrical Measuring Testing Group's medical device testing lab (GRG TEST).
KTC conducted customized consultations for about 50 domestic medical device companies on entering foreign markets and domestic licensing procedures, achieving tangible results by signing contracts for four new projects, including mutagenicity tests, with a domestic medical device company, totaling 160 million won.
The seminar co-hosted with GRG TEST provided practical information to solve the difficulties of entering foreign markets, receiving business requests from a total of 17 participating companies, including manufacturers and consulting firms, leading to high engagement.
KTC is the first testing and certification organization to provide total testing and certification services in the domestic medical device field. At this year's exhibition, by operating an independent booth and participating, KTC offered various testing and certification services in the bio-health field to manufacturers and exporters, including guidance on medical device licensing procedures and overseas certification consultations.

Especially, KTC announced its support services for testing and licensing for the sleep industry's products as the only testing and research institution in the domestic sleep industry, following strategic marketing that conducted customized test design consultations based on customer needs.
Director Ahn Seong-il actively demonstrated his willingness to support by visiting the booths of key companies, including Lutronic, to listen directly to their concerns and reflect on them.
KTC plans to conduct additional customized testing consultations for follow-up projects in connection with the existing business with new client A. It also plans to pursue consulting for new business acquisition targeting the 20 companies consulted at the exhibition booth and to proceed with the China certification agency project requested by seminar participants.
Furthermore, KTC plans to expand related businesses by signing MOUs with related organizations to attract high-value tests such as orthopedic implant tests.
Director Ahn Seong-il of KTC stated, "Participating in this exhibition allowed us to confirm KTC's unique competitiveness, from signing partnerships with new companies to strengthening ties with businesses. We will continue our best efforts to contribute to the growth of domestic companies by leading the resolution of licensing issues as they gain global competitiveness and enter foreign markets."
