Purpose
With a dramatic increase in the use of electrical or electronic equipment, there is a growing demand for preventing industrial accidents due to the communication interference or malfunction of equipment due to unwanted electromagnetic waves generated by these machines, while proactively responding to the protectionist practices of developed countries. We provide our testing services for the clients to preserve the electromagnetic waves environment in the country and help making our products more competitive in the world market.

The applicable IT equipment
The definition of IT equipment
IT equipment refers to the equipment with one or more terminal ports that operates for sending information, in addition to the key functions of inputting, outputting, searching, storing, sending, or controlling data or communication messages, of which the supply voltage is no more than 600V. The wireless devices in Paragraph 4, Article 2 of the Radio Wave Act are not included in this definition.
The subtypes of the applicable equipment
Categorization by uses
- A class (for office use): The devices that are designed for office applications to be used outside of a household (not for household uses)
- B class (for household uses): The non-office equipment that are designed to be used in a household (but can also be used in commercial, industrial, or office applications)
How to request a test

- 1) When the applicant is submitting the request for him/herself
- The client is to visit our customer service office of KTC with the application forms and the samples.

- 2) If the applicant cannot make a visit to our office
- You can visit the branch offices in Seoul or other areas. Or, you can make a phone call or send a fax to request a test and send the samples to be tested via courier, etc.
In this case, we can send you the request form via e-mail or fax.
Application document
- 1) Test request form (available at the customer service office of our institute)

- 2) A copy of your business registration certificate
- All test request documents are to be submitted as electronic files. If this is the first MiC for the client, the client is required to provide a client serial number that is to be used to identify the client. The code must be composed of three characters, and a total of four serial code candidates are to be submitted by the client.

- 3) Test request form (available at the customer service office of our institute)

- Applicant: to be stamped by the presiding officer, address, the name and contract information (name, Tel, e-mail, FAX)
- The device to be tested: name, model name, and use
- Manufacturer information: Company name, country of manufacture, and address

- 4) Two copies of use manual shall be submitted as electronic files. If the manufacturer is a South Korean company only those in Korean will be required. However, if the manufacturer is a foreign company, both the English version and the Korean version will be required.

- In the case of an imported device, enclose a Korean translation.
- A user manual which provides an overview of the device (specification), dimensions, composition, how to operate, and other user instructions.

Others
We provided paid circuit improvement or EMC debugging if there is a disqualifying result of the tested samples during the compliance test.
